The Mission

परम्परा · भविष्य के लिएStrengthen Tradition

A platform for the artisan, the archivist and the grandchild who has not yet needed the vocabulary. Four commitments, plainly stated.

A Platform · Four Pillars

Bihar Museum · Patna

This page doubles as a platform. It exists to record, to support, and to pass on. The four commitments below describe, in plain language, the work that continues beyond any single book or appointment.

i.

Cultural Preservation

Archiving, documenting and contextualising the region’s living traditions — so the record survives the generation that made it.

ii.

Community Participation

A museum is not a vitrine. Programming that returns local communities to authorship of their own inheritance.

iii.

Artisan Livelihood

Markets, cooperatives, training — the economics that allow a Mithila painter, a studio potter, a weaver, to stay in their craft.

iv.

Intergenerational Continuity

Teaching, publishing, translation. The patient work of carrying a vocabulary to a grandchild who has not yet needed it.
